Egyptian Stock Exchange Agreement

Prof. Ashraf Abdel Basset - President of Mansoura University and Professor Mohamed Farid Saleh, Chairman of the Egyptian Stock Exchange today, Sunday, December 30, 2019 AD, signed a cooperation agreement between the two sides to organize a comprehensive training program that includes lectures and workshops for university students in various colleges on the activities of the stock market, and introducing them The fundamentals of investing and long-term savings through the stock exchange.

The agreement was signed in the presence of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Atwa, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, Prof. Dr. Saad Mutawa, Director of the Center for Financial and Banking Studies at the Faculty of Commerce, Prof. Mohamed Ayyad, Deputy Assistant President of the Exchange for Communication Affairs, Mr. Hisham Turk, Director General of Public Relations and Communication. The signing of the cooperation comes within the framework of the Egyptian Stock Exchange initiative. To spread the financial culture, investment and cumulative savings in the Stock Exchange, to maximize the contribution to the overall development in Egypt and based on the desire of the Egyptian Stock Exchange and Mansoura University to strengthen the bonds of cooperation between the two sides through the Center for Financial and Banking Studies at the Faculty of Commerce.

Professor Dr. Ashraf Abdel Baset confirmed the agreement includes presenting lectures to students at the College of Commerce and other colleges on the principles of the stock exchange and on the stock simulation model, preparing and distributing educational booklets by the Stock Exchange, organizing a series of seminars for students to spread awareness of the advantages of being registered in the stock exchange and spreading financial education.

Professor Mohamed Farid Salih indicated that the agreement will support the efforts of the stock exchange aimed at raising the levels of community knowledge, especially the new generations of university graduates, of the basics of investment and long-term savings in the stock exchange, not only at the theoretical level, but competitions will be organized and trained on systems that simulate the process of trading and investment in the stock exchange.

He added that capital markets play a major role in strengthening the state's plans to achieve economic and social development by helping companies in various economic sectors to access the necessary financing to increase the volume of their business and then create new jobs and increase productive capacities.

For his part, Dr. Mohamed Atwa praised the cooperation with the Egyptian Stock Exchange, which aims to develop the skills of students and graduates in the field of the stock market in accordance with the objectives of the Financial Studies Development Center at the Faculty of Commerce through stock simulation programs that will be trained in the virtual stock market halls of the college.
