Our History

• About 46 years have passed since the establishment of the Faculty of Commerce, Mansoura University, as it has been established according to the decision No. 184 of 1973 of the vice Prime Minister for Culture and Media. In the academic year 1974/73 education has begun in faculty of commerce.
• The teaching branch was opened in Damietta in 1985, which turned into a branch of the faculty in 1988 until it became independent. It became one of the faculties of the Damietta branch of the university in the academic year 2006/2007.
• The Open Education study began on January 27, 2007.
• Whereas, in the academic year 1973/1974, the faculty of Commerce included (3217) students. Now the faculty includes more than (28,296) students in the undergraduate level and (895) students in the postgraduate level.
• The number of graduates was 4916 in the academic year 2017-2018 for the undergraduate level whereas 212 for postgraduate level.
• Tens of thousands of the finest youth who are always at the forefront in all fields have graduated from this college over the years.
• at the beginning, the faculty relied on mandating academic staff members from other universities. Now, we include 143 faculty members in addition to 115 associate faculty members.
• The faculty includes 4 scientific departments: "Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics and Insurance", after it was limited to only three scientific departments and a division of study in the English language.
• The credit-hour finance and economics program has also been implemented, starting from the 2019-2020 academic year.

The number of administrators in the faculty have increased from 30 administrators in 4 departments to (270) who carry out various administrative, financial, technical, and legal work. All this team is in service ready to help you until you graduate
