Training Lectures at Mansoura Commerce to Prepare Digitally Qualified Banking Professionals

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Kamal Matawa, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Dr. Mona Samy, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and in line with the Faculty of Commerce at Mansoura University’s commitment to linking its students with labor market requirements and enhancing their professional readiness, the Vice Dean’s Office for Community Service and Environmental Development organized specialized training lectures on Monday, February 9, 2026, in cooperation with the Egyptian Banking System Model and with the participation of the Export Development Bank of Egypt.

The lectures addressed modern banking systems and the essential skills required for graduates of faculties of commerce seeking careers in the banking sector, especially in light of the rapid digital transformation in the financial sector. The session was delivered by Mr. Ahmed Allam from the Nile Pioneers Department at the Export Development Bank of Egypt, who presented banking operations, as well as the challenges and opportunities available to youth.

Ms. Hadeel El-Sheikh, Head of Financial Inclusion at the Export Development Bank of Egypt, also delivered a lecture on the importance of financial literacy and the role of financial technology in developing the banking sector. She emphasized the need to equip students with modern digital skills to enhance their employability.

This event comes within the framework of the Faculty’s strategy to build strong partnerships with banking and financial institutions and to provide training opportunities that enable students to acquire the practical experience necessary to meet the demands of the banking labor market.
